Before working at RE/MAX Innovations, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? I worked as a corporate pilot flying light corporate jets, that is what brought me to Kansas City.

How did you first learn about RE/MAX Innovations? I had an opportunity to purchase this office in 2008 after expressing an interest in management.

If you could pick one theme for RE/MAX Innovations to turn into a book about the company, what would it be? Determined would be the theme, over the past 11 years we have set goals that many have laughed at or said no one has ever done that. Because you are all the best of the best, we have accomplished everything that people have said is not possible.

What advice do you have for prospective realtors? Work hard, take extra special care of the people around you, HAVE FUN!

What are 3 words to describe your role as an agent? Problem solver, motivator, educator

What do you find the most challenging in your job? Sharing in the challenges people experience in our business. It’s always tough to see anyone struggle, even when you know that those are the times that build character and confidence in their own abilities.

What do you like most about RE/MAX Innovations? Hands down, the people. I have always said we pride ourselves on being the best of the best and that runs from the one person who has been here the longest to that new person who just started and everyone in between…. Its a big team that I’m honored to be part of.

What is on your wish list for the next 10 years in real estate? Continue to improve our services and support to our associates. We want to create that experience that you can’t get anywhere else and then expand to provide that to as many as we can who fit our best of the best criteria.

What is your favorite part about working for RE/MAX Innovations? Favorite part is the ability to help others, its a lot of fun and most of all the people we all work with!

What is your favorite line from a movie? “It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” Sylvester Stallone

Are you messy or organized? I like to consider it controlled chaos, I tend to be very organize with somethings and not so much with other things!

Tell us about your best vacation ever. The Disney Cruise

Choose your Mr. Men / Little Miss, to describe your work personality and your home life personality. Little Mr. go with the flow or Little Mr. Energizer Bunny, at home…..Koolaid Aid Man, all day and every day ornery and instigator. Also, Little Mr. Fix it everywhere :)

Describe your most embarrassing moment at the office? Probably the morning after the Christmas Party that I woke up to “Congratulations your video has been uploaded to YouTube”

How do you define success? If I made a positive difference in someone’s life, that is a win. I fail numerous times daily, as long as I learn from those experiences, its a win!

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day? I love being me, there are experiences I would like to have, but I love being me!

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be? Motivational Speaker, I hate talking in front of people, but it has to be such a rush to speak to thousands of people……

If you could interview one person, dead or alive, who would it be? Any of the founding fathers…….

If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why? The president of the United States of America.

If you were an animal, what would you be? Tiger or Tasmanian Devil!

If you were on death row, what would your last meal be? That could possibly depend on the day, Seafood and Steak are always safe!

If your house was burning down, What is the one non-living thing you would save? Chest of pictures

What is your least favorite food? Tomatoes

What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this? Probably still a pilot

Tell us a little about yourself: I was born and raised in the real estate business, swore I would never be in the business. I now couldn’t imagine doing anything different. I love to travel, do manual labor, socialize with family and friends, entertaining, helping people, hunting, fishing, camping, anything outside is great. I’m terrified of heights, yet had a successful experience as a pilot, many say that’s because I was in charge…..

Tell us a little about your family: Born and raised in small town Iowa. My family was in the real estate business, mom still operates Saylor Realty after 44 years. I have 3 sisters and a brother, I moved to KC in 97 after my father passed away, I got married the in 2005 and Kaylynn was born in 2009.
